sullivan il. | Well last few days have sucked have had 3 head of 300lb Holsteins come down with tetnas out of a pen of 117 these calves were banned and vaccinated 3 weeks ago with covexin 8 which has the tetnas vaccine in it. this is the same protocol I have used for 5 years never had a case of tetnas and that has been several thousand calves. Ran the rest through the chute yesterday gave them all a big dose of penicillin. No new ones this morning so far. Sometimes I really wonder about these vaccines I am always very anal when we vaccinate to only mix enough for what we can use every 30 mins. keep everything in cooler with ice packs keep syringe's in the shade | |
