Whiskey, Tango, Foxtrot | Capacity and the ability to put tie layers in. Pro Ag's are fine, but when you want 6 bale blocks w/tie layer to stack in barns with a squeeze or have even a short field to barn haul, they get pretty slow.
Quite a few of them around maybe 5 years ago. No one running them anymore here, either have a balewagon convert (Milstack or Sunny D) or block in the field with a loader and squeeze onto trucks to haul to the barn. Lot of times we are going 5-10 miles, so it has to go on truck anyway.
If you were just road siding at the edge of a field and loading out with a spear, they are alright, although it takes a big expensive tractor to do the job with any comfort. | |
