Central Texas | This is my first time to use Ultra Saber. Think 2Hcattle posted that lasted 2-3 weeks for him. Was hoping for a month with the Ultra. Was really disappointed with Cylence but it only has 1 component whereas the Ultra has 2.
Have tried the hand sprayer before and was not pleased with coverage or fly control. Also the continuous stream seems to disturb the cows more than a couple of squirts from the syringe. Cows seem to be less skittish when squirting from a vehicle than when doing it on foot. By using the syringe it eliminates the chance of a continuous "misfire". Real pleased with it.
Years ago was going to spray some calves for flies and had some diesel/permethrin already mixed to use on a cow rub. Just grabbed the mix and sprayed the calves like it was a water mix. In a couple of days several of the calves had some scaulded spots and actually lost some hair. Fortunately, the hair did grow back in a few months. Would be carefull spraying with diesel. Don't remember seeing any labels for spraying diesel mix. Only remember diesel mixes for rubs.
