It's called a commodity wage. It's right on the tax forms. You do not have to pay SS. The payee needs to have control of the grain the day of delivery and sold. You can't contract it or transfer it from your account. It is to be like giving a check. I don't know why it exists, but it does, so we use it. 15% on 10,000 or what ever helps.
