Dave and I lived on the home farm for 25 years together. The last few years the milking was pretty much going round the clock. So you could always hear the hum of the milker pump. Then when we built our new house 13 years ago and the first night we stayed, the quiet was almost deafening. I had to get use to the quiet. I just love it out in the country.
