North of London | Amazing what car designs and engineering have been able to do.
Cars designed to keep the passenger compartment intact and then add air bags and seat belts and accidents are far more survivable these days than they used to be.
I have seen accidents 50 years ago where the passengers were ejected from cars that were torn asunder.
Not as good an outcome as your family had.
