Serena Il, Center of the Universe | My 8 year old Michael has his pigs for the year. I told him he could raise as many hogs as he could sell. Last year I thought it would be a few till I heard him at the cafe asking,"Hey mister you wanna buy a pig?" He sold 8 in an hour! This year by his hard selling and word of mouth we are up to 30 We had 31 as a precaution for death loss and one died I thought he would be sad as he doctored and babied it for a week. His only concern was could he get a refund
It's a sweet deal. Dad buys the pigs and the feed he gets the money. The catch is it goes to his college fund but I do let him keep $20 for fun money.
We sell them as freezer pigs. Our customers like the product and are willing to pay a premium. We are raising Berhshires ans Spotted Poland China's. Below are views of our bight tech feed mill and finishing facilities.
