Permanent license on my used car cost me about $180 and I'll never need to worry about renewing. Liability insurance is around $100 / year. Price differential alone on 200 gal. of fuel vs. gas will pay for the insurance without even considering the fact that the car will get better gas mileage and there will be savings there too.
