Chilliwack BC Canada | Not all of Canada does it like us but in our valley the fields are smaller. The farms are getting bigger but field size cant really change because of the creeks and ditches. You could probably count on your fingers the number of fields over 150 acres in size. Lots of 8000 series John Deere tractors, dont know of any 9000 series.Almost all farmers are from European decent might have some influence but I think our weather (60" of rain a year) does moreso. Plowing is almost a necessity to get the seed bed prepared and soil warms up quicker. | |
