NW Iowa. / SW Arizona | Was watching NBC news this morning and they were talking about the national spelling bee contest for the youth.
Co-winners got $30,000 cash, $2,500 US savings bond and a deluxe set of encyclopedia. Sounds like nice rewards but does anybody ever use encyclopedias anymore with google? I used them all the time back when I was in school for projects but that was 40 plus years ago :-(.
Looks to me like a traveling book salesman would starve in today's hi-tech society. | |
