NC Kansas | I just went a couple years of coaching Junior High boys basketball, and I feel your pain. I got along well with most of the parents. If you can look yourself in the mirror and know you have been fair, then let them gripe. Nod and smile and say thank you and i'll take that into consideration. If they want to take their kid and go home, that's on them.
We have a really good highschool basketball coach who is smart and fair and has 25 years of experience and he still deals with this crap. He and his coaching buddies say the #1 reason coaches get fired in his ranks is due to Sophmores and more accurately, parents of Sophmores. They've set on the bench as Freshmen and now everyone thinks they are big time and too good for JV. | |
