Subject: No Plans to Make any Changes!

John Pointon here with OmniSTAR.

OmniSTAR has no plans to change the current range of choices for agriculture in North America.

For high accuracy positioning these range from as little as $400 for 3 months of XP, or $800 for a full year of XP. If the full accuracy of HP is preferred, then $750 will get you 3 months, or $1,500 for a full year.

In some areas overseas, where base stations are less numerous and the range to the nearest reference site may be excessive, local OmniSTAR companies do offer a combined HP/XP solution. That may be the origin of this rumour.

Here in North America, due to the density of base stations, there are no areas where XP is expected to outperform HP so both are offered separately.

VBS is not available free of charge as a stand-alone service, but it is automatically included with any HP or XP subscription.
