N FLA | Well I would sure hate to work against the seasonal prices. And sometimes its better to be lucky than good. Bought a 910 @ 0.50 cow in December. Fed her for 5 months and sold an 880 @ 0.95 cow this week. That's pretty bad to feed a cow for 5 months and she lose weight. LOL.She actually looked good to me all winter, but she only had 4 front teeth and seemed to fade when the rye played out and we started on grass. I have a few with no teeth that appear to be gaining still. Some work better than others. At least there were no "losers" this time. | |
