NCND | We have been quite fortunate this past week. Made a hard push and finished spring wheat as the rain started about midnight. Got .25" and we are now in process of switching to beans. Still have a lot to do but the forecast for this coming week is the best we have had for this time of year in a while it seems. It is wet here but we moved around and worked around it for most part. Wasn't overly efficient but we got it done. Frustrating thing is tile still frozen. I dug down to check on some friday and she was frozen which explains the trickle when it is so wet. The frost wasn't as deep on wheat stubble here and it actually looks like it may be decent going when the clouds clear and it dries off. Hopefully today.
The grass actually turned green here with our string of nice days. Funny we are usually the ones talking about the cold and now Im reading about all the guys south and east of here saying that. Getting lucky here so far. | |
