Subject: Beef Breeding Question

Breckenridge, MI
I've never done AI but I've been looking at fixed time AI for my 10 head. However by the time I buy the drugs, the semen, and pay someone to come out to AI them for me I've spent $60-70 a head and had them in the chute 3 to 4 times.

My question was could I just use a CIDR for 7 days and then run them with the bull? All I want to achieve here is that 100% are cycling when they go in with the bull. According to the CIDR label you're supposed to give Lutalyse on day 6 and then pull CIDR's on day 7 but is that necessary?

Any thoughts or advise is greatly appreciated.
