Tennessee | Yesterday while traveling down the highway, I noticed flashing lights behind me so I pulled over. The officer got out of his car and walked up to my truck and said, "Sir, did you know you were traveling over 100 mph?"
I told him that I was sorry and didn't know what I was doing. The officer told me his shift ended in about thirty minutes. He said, "I've heard just about every excuse there is to tell, but if you can come up with a new one, I'll just let you go."
I thought long and hard.
"Officer, you see, my now ex wife ran off with a state trooper. When I saw your car parked beside the highway and then you came after me with your lights flashing, I thought you were that same trooper trying to give her back."
