west central MN

If the years 2009 though 2013 don't show the risk of raising a 170 yield then the years that 1891 posted down below definitely show the risk that we will at some point hit 170 and more. I definitely feel that at some point fairly soon we will again set a record yield. I know we have extra acres that some feel are well below average but we also have the original 80 million acres that is very good land that has been improved. There has been a lot of pattern tiling done along with fence lines cleaned up and a lot of precision products add in the last few years along with the advancement from the seed companies. I don't think the weather was ideal last year as there was an awful lot of complaining about the weather on this site last year. First we had late planning into very wet conditions along with a lot of PP. After that we had a big area of drought so I would definitely think we could have years with better weather then last year.
