I was hoping to go North of SF.  But in the middle of that big drought, I managed to hit the two week ends with rain!  So I did the coast between Santa Maria and San Francisco in 3 stretches.  Visited some customers in the Salinas Valley, very impressive farming area, but not much going on at the time.  Then drove to Tulare, Bakersfield and off to Santa Maria's broccoli fields, before heading back up to SJC.

I am planning on going back later this year (probably Oct-Nov) for a full week of vacation and drive north from SF to Portland on SR1.
