Whiskey, Tango, Foxtrot
So the Redwoods are cool. There are a couple of parks around Orick, CA that are worth seeing. There is also some nice points and beaches and stuff on the coast there, but you'll see all of that you want on the Oregon coast probably. I've always like Trinidad for some reason. Nice beach there, but keep in mind the beaches north of about LA are nothing like you'd think of a California beach being. No bikini's. Sorry. It never gets very warm there, and the water never warms up.

There is also another park well worth visiting, Jedediah Smith Redwoods just E of Crescent City, CA. Take a drive up the Smith River for a few miles as well, we always thought it was one of the prettiest rivers around, lots of places you can get off the road and play and swim in the rapids and pools. But all of the parks have lots of trees that are 300'+. Personally, I thought the ones as big around were as neat as the tall ones, you really can't tell much of difference between a 250' tall tree and a 300' one, esp given the steep topography of that country.

Any specific questions just ask.
