West of Kitchener, Ontario
Ontario Canuck, you got the rain at 4 PM, we got barely enough to settle the dust at 7 PM. Very little corn planted in Waterloo Region, It has been too cold and wet all spring, what little bit of spring we did have. You mention the animal smells in the air. It may smell for a few days, but it sure grows corn. We are hauling liquid gold (hog manure) right know. We have some of the best wheat in this area because it was planted right after soybeans were combined and 3000 gallons per acre manure applied. Wheat sure starts off good in the fall when manure has been applied before planting.
