East Troy, WI

I cannot counsel formally on this, but I do recommend you do this under VERY close medical supervision - at the very least you should call this in to you Dr' nurse.  Rarely - and I mean exceedingly rarely - lifestyle changes (weight loss, rigorous exercise regimen including 1 hour of aerobic exercise 5 days per week or more) can allow cessation of blood pressure medications.

It maybe dangerous to do so otherwise.  Risk of heart attack and stroke is not negligible with the very common 'essential hypertension' - (garden variety high blood pressure).    Many Dr's take BP meds - you cannot fight genetics.
