Moingona Iowa | Just went thru this with colon cancer with misses. Her dr wanted her to have her thyroids removed a couple years ago and went to surgeon and he ask why she was here as nothing wrong with thyroids. I wanted her to change dr. never did.
Found cancer in colon and removed part of colon, then she got cdep infection which a specialist was called in. Her dr wanted to send her home and the specialist said no way. Finally after two weeks he sent her home. home 4 days back to er. She was very sick. She wanted to keep him... Couldn't breath, couldn't eat. Our daughter wanted him to do a scan, he told her not needed. A dr on weekend that never seen her said something not right and had a scan and lungs and leg full of blood clots. I was pissed. Another two weeks and half weeks she home nausea and vomiting and diarrhea.
She afraid to change dr so we follow up and I asked why she taking unwanted medicine such as colestrol med as that is least of worry and couple others.. Still nausea. Last visit he said all in her head and wanted to send her to phychiest That is when I blew up and we went to see another dr a cancer dr as she had apt anyway. He found bad infection in mouth where her food tasted bad and this was pointed out to other dr, white on tongue which been there some time plus low iron and other test done. The very next day was great.
Morel of story is GET THE HELL AWAY FROM DOCTORS, NURSES that do not treat you they way you should be treated.
Call Mayo and talk to nurse. I was one day away of doing this. Should of done it weeks earlier.
I am sure your dr and nurse slept well while wife in agony..
