My crystal ball is currently out of order due to severe thunder storm. Biomethane digesters only work for medium to large livestock operations which are becoming fewer and fewer every day and most of those don't work without govt subsidy to install. Some type of shell corn/pellet furnace makes somewhat more sense for a single family homeowner while a furnace that burns wood and small square bales of cornstalks/brush would make more sense for a larger building or a central neighborhood heating plant. I think electricity will rapidly become too expensive for home heat outside of powering geothermal installations. Its possible oil heat will make a comeback if propane has supply issues, but I don't know of anyone who was ever unhappy they got rid of their fuel oil furnace.
