I am told by the attorneys that if a nursing home resident has had their assets attached by Medicaid..........assume the farm......... that they have to get a release from IRS/Medicaid/whomever to sell the property with clear title. Now........if the Medicaid people (typically the state) fail to file on the title of the property---------- supposedly the property goes free..........and the debt dies with the person receiving the benefits of Medicaid. So..........that element is supposedly just like the private sector and liens. |
