Ashburn, GA, (very close to Heaven!) | I have internet through Alltel that works with a cable attached to my Motorola Razr phone. In my "home" territory, it is fast. Of course, occasionally moving through bottoms I may lose a connection, but when connected, it is very satisfactory. It works anywhere I go, but outside of my home territory, speeds are only equivalent of dial up. A couple of things I like about it is that it doesn't require me to have to pay for a card modem, and when connected the cell phone still accepts calls by putting the internet "on hold". I pay approximately $24 per month, unlimited use, no roaming. I wear it out. I have the options of checking email during the day, pulling up weather radar, and transferring files.
When home, however, I still use my DSL. |
