Central Indiana | Hmmmm You may be right, but I would bet that once this program gets up and running if you call ADM Decatur and offer them say 20K soybeans at oh I don't know lets say 15 cents over thier published bid, You will hear "No we don't have to pay that we can bring them in cheaper"
I don't care how big a processor is, once they open a new source for supply it most certainly will impact basis.
They would not have developed this rate if it didn't allow beans to flow to them cheaper, or at the least create additional source of supply. Every bean that is brought in is one less needed from the local area. | |
