check em 1 to maybe 3 times a week and they do fine on their own then.
I don't buy the landlord dictating when you calf or how you manage a cow herd.
Perhaps if the landlord is telling you when to calf, they also tell you when to feed too?
Or maybe they'll even tell you when you can go to town for groceries?
better have a board meeting with the landlord.
( maybe it's best if they go down the road and simply find a better land deal for yourself )
