tweek things bout so far.

Say average feedlot conversion is 6:1 now.
That tweeks down to 5 or 5.5:1 over time.

The BIG savings is that 1 can tweek the ration down too.
Feed a 10% colder ration and still get the 5 to 5:5:1 conversions.

I think what folks might learn, is that docility is likely the Main driver of feed efficiency.
( the afore is a much different cattle performance diametric than the usa operators are used to thinking )

It's really not that tough to find strings of cows that produce those 4.5 to 5:1 conversion calves now.

They are cattle, Not hogs.
soooo perhaps stay out of the real extreme supposed efficient end ( 3:1 is pretty extreme. MO ).
It takes body capacity for a cow to work her environment.
