south east Indiana | Meg prefers lambs. I have a new lamb that is half the size of of her twin so I suppose a bottle lamb it will be. Meg is thrilled since she is mothering it. It is now spotless :) not sure the lamb thinks it is such a great deal.
Haven't seem many folks post sheep threads recently. Here are a couple other photos and a yearling and her first lamb. It can hardly stand and it was looking for a teat. They amaze me sometimes. Less than 10 min old and up and going strong.
I was thinking this morning an inside job might not be bad as it was storming and adding inches of rain to our soaked ground while I was doing chores. Even the border collies were a bit concerned with all the thunder and lightening. A few were sure chores could wait a bit till the worst of the storm passed. Then I walk in to the barn and see a lamb being born, maybe working outside in the rain isn't so bad.
