in the lots, wean calves and run the cows on crop residues...starting bout the end of august.
or use broken mouth cow, short wean calves, sell the cow fat and restock every fall at shell cow prices.
ground cornstalks and some syrup or wdgs are a complete cow ration.
Get back into feeding cattle?
