Driftless SW Wisconsin | The mound left in the spring after fall strip till varies somewhat by soil type. However one of the goals of strip till in general is no net soil movement. This is NOT ridgetill where soil is regularly moved laterally.
The mound created by our Dawn Pluribus units is mostly air. By spring time the mound is usually about level with the surrounding soil.
We always recommend and use a set of Trashwheels on the planter, run very lightly, when planting into strips whether made in fall or spring.
