Yeah, I'm surprised that the little guy passed the semen test. Other years a 115 lb. birth weight & guys would shy away, he was 1 of them that brought $5,500. Other years when the ring man (in this case the breeder himself) had to hide behind the barrier after the bull charged him, the bidding would stop right there. I don't know, this was up north in the wild country! Lots of predators there, maybe they like them a little "feisty" up there. I'm getting too old for having cattle like that around here! I don't need any "feisty" 1 tonne animals around the place!!!
Addition: Good cull bulls in that 1 tonne range are bringing $1.10 here.
