90 dollars is pretty cheap for an operating system. Service pack 2 (SP2) is free, go to M.S. downloads hunt down SP2 and download the thing. Get and install XP first and M.S. should download-install SP2 directly so it intregrates with XP.
When I got Windows 2000 Pro OS,, it cost 200 bucks with a "student discount" I had at that time.
