Custom rates would be higher than that for 100 miles.

Are you sure you're covering ALL your expenses? I have trouble believing you can cover your expenses hauling only 1000 bu. We can haul 1600 bu legally and would still think twice at that rate.

At $25/ hour for your time on 4.5 hrs, that's $112. Fuel at 5 miles/gallon and $3/ga (guessing on that price) is another $120. so out of the $450 allowed for the trip, you've used half of it and have not have covered repairs, depreciaton and insurance.

Opportunity loss for projects undone at home is a tough thing to evaluate.
