Subject: Mixing feed

southern middle tennessee
We have been crushing ear corn this winter to top out calfs. Well we are out now and can go buy feed for around 200$ a ton to finish topping out or we can go buy some shelled corn for market price and crush and add the same things we were to the ear corn to finish. This is where I need advice. Do I buy feed or buy corn. Which will gain more or cost less. Also I can hold 3500lb of ear corn in the crusher but it says it'll hold 5600 lb of shelled corn. This is where I'm confused, if I put shelled corn in do I almost double the supplements I'm putting in the ear corn because I'm going to make almost double the feed per crusher load with shelled corn? By supplements I mean mill and minerals. Thanks in advanced
