n.c.iowa

I used to work for a livestock equip. manufacturing company.   one of our products was ss and black steel hog waterers.  so for the lids we used a rod  threaded on one and bent 90* on the other end, to fasten the lids to the waterer.

any way we farmed them out to a local machine shop to be threaded, and I knew the machinist that worked there.   so one of our office girls was married to my boss/plant manager.  and she called the machine shop, and left a message to order more lid rods.      anyway my machinist buddy called back and asked if they wanted the left or right end of the rod threaded,    we have a whole plant, two way radio system, and my boss is standing next to me when his wife calls on the radio to ask if he wants the left or right side threaded.      he rolls his eyes and shakes his head, and tells his wife to think about it.          we still laugh about that one.
