Keep in mind the consumers are global now.

basically, ALL the usa high end middle beef meats are exported out of the usa.

the True demand ( and by far largest segment of Any and all other meats consumed ) for beef in the usa is for hamburger and slow broast type beef cuts.
IF hamburger for instance would go to $6 lb retail...that's only bout $1.50 of beef per quarter pound burger.

btw, traditional fat cattle and cull cows would each have to go up $35 to 45cwt live for there to be $6 lb burger and slow broast cuts in the usa,

That IS happening now, and is not going to happen overnight so to speak.

Folks in the usa are going to keep buying meat.
It IS that simple, And is simply going to cost consumers more than it used to.

Matter of Fact, usa consumers will likely buy more meat and Less gasoline ( That IS a long term consumer trend in the usa ).
