I was talking to a grain buyer from the state mill the other day to get a price on some wheat. They are getting full of flour and waiting for many cars to load out. In the conversation he mentioned ONE of the big unit train rail loaders in the area is currently 1,200 cars behind what they had booked up to this point. That what - 10 trains that should have been loaded and gone, and they are still waiting? And that is just one location. Local elevator said they are waiting on 80 cars that were supposed to be here a month ago. How will the rail road ever get caught up before next fall when they are already that far behind? Load limits on the roads is not too far away up here, so if the trains do come, hauling from the farmers bins will be slower than normal, and the rumor is spring is coming in a few weeks.
