Subject: RE: Run away Detroit diesel

NW Ohio,near Findlay
My thought is the rings are bad, sleeves cracked at air intake holes. The oil drain holes maybe plugged in blower box and box full of motor oil. When warmed up, oil in box is pushed in with air and just keeps running on engine oil and gaining speed. Junk it, will never be a good motor. A company I worked for had six trucks with these motors, there was a time all of them were down. Sorry, lots of bad memories and can't hear because of them.
