Subject: "Certifying" a POA at recorder's office

Cherokee County, Northwest Iowa
It's a long story which I won't bore you with, but if you ever get appointed as an attorney-in-fact for someone (get a power of attorney), do yourself a favor, take original copy down to local recorder's office in courthouse, and for a nominal fee, get it recorded, scanned, whatever they do to get it officially recorded, so they can make you a "Certified Copy" if you ever need it at a later date. Also, think that they also will "Certify" the original document also.

And no, I didn't loose the original document. Yet.

So far, I have been getting better legal advice from my local barber than local attorneys-scary thought, eh?

Regards, Bruce.
