Subject: HRW options training

north central kansas
Looking at trying to use options as a way to price some of the 2014 wheat. Have used forward contracts at the elevator but with the wheat not looking great and the rain forecasts not too good either, don't want to get over committed. Where are some resources to try learn more about this? I see CME has some training literature. We have about 250 acres of wheat that in a decent year would yield 50 = bu/acre. Would a mini-contract or two be a way to get our feet wet?

Thanks for any ideas/advice,

Rick
