Death comes to us all. Life's but a walking shadow | I spent a few minutes looking at the ships in the Black Sea near Ukraine and Russia. Of the 15 or so cargo ships in the area of Ukraine there are only three bulk carriers and they are all at or off Romaina, Nothing anywhere near Crimea (surprise, surprise). On the other side there are a couple of bulk carriers in Russian ports between Crimea and Sochi Russia. Most of the cargo ships off Romaina are general cargo ships with a couple of container ships and one vehicle carrier.
Does Ukraine actually export much grain by way of the Black Sea or does most of it go to Western Europe via railroad?
I can't help but think that the problem with wheat is that there are millions of bushels from last year's crop just a hundred miles north of the border.
