Subject: good old days

Pittsburg, Kansas

Thanks for that explanation.

I think we may very will have our own generation that "wish for the good old days" at some point in the future.

At least one of the problems of the USSR was that it obviously was not sustainable. Some probably did quite well and were satisfied with the situation, till it could no longer be sustained.

We will have the same situation here, in that many pensioners will think things are just great. Till their pension funds go broke and can not pay out what was promised. They also will long for "the good old days".

That is the key. For the ones that did well in the USSR they can not understand why things did not continue. It was good for them. But things that can not be sustained, eventually fail. We are in the process of learning that here in the US. When things fail, people will be disillusioned and not understand why things could not continue. The ones that have done well will long for "the good old days", while the ones that have not done so will not so much so.

That is the problem with not understanding what is not really going on. Not being informed. Not understanding when things are coming undone.

John
