If calf just doesn't know what to do and is healthy otherwise, when you have momma in chute and calf next to her, rub calf under tail around rectum area. Always works really well for me. Think about it, when calves are standing nursing, momma turns head and licks calf's rear end. Stimulates calf to suck and pass poop and urinate- getting things moving along naturally.
Might help with u guys with calf that won't suck bottle also??
