| Its a tuff call. Had one earlier this week. Heifer I decided not to put her in the chute. 6 hours later normal delivery. She was a bit anxious. So it was a good call not to get her excited.
Chances are everything is fine. But if shes is willing to take the walk and knowing she is a cow id rather get my arm in their and feel for front legs hocks down and a nose.
Worst thing is to feel a tail with legs tucked under. Do nothing and its all good or all bad.
I have seen cows cut them selves out one day before they calf.
Last thought...if its backwards and its a cow vs a heifer they tend to carry their tail pretty high in the air.
