Subject: question on working chute out feed layout ?

Tablerock Ranch eastern Wa
The quest is always to get cattle to move better thru working facilities, namely feed thru the chute without a fight, that being said I have always wondered when I see cattle fighting so hard to get thru, over, under, around the next cow in a crowd alley, IF a guy kept cattle caught in a short out feed alley leaving the chute would it entice cattle to enter the chute more willingly ? has anybody tried to reinvent the wheel as described ? I do realize the benefits of line of sight / no shadows and so on, would need a backup gate so a guy could work on the head without out bound cattle backing up, do your cows fight or volunteer there way in ?
