California/Oregon | I am a 63 year resident of the "State of Jefferson". Can't remember a time when it wasn't batted around but it is gaining some momentum recently. Several Northern California counties have recently voted to form the state (Jefferson). I don't know if it will ever happen. A lot of good questions have not been answered. Then there's can we (Jefferson) afford to build our own roads or can Sacramento do without our tax dollars?
Right now California is fighting over it's own water rights. What happens if all of a sudden we are several different states? Who gets the water then? It really gets complicated.
I'd really like a State of Jefferson personally....but don't see it happening. | |
