Manure has a value and a cost. Depends what the deal you had was. As a dairyman, if someone came to me and wanted my manure and was willing to take it since I don't have enough crop land to use it all, I would say go ahead.

You may still have a chance at the manure, but sounds like supply and demand has changed. Manure may cost you more now. Can't say I blame the dairyman since I didn't see many crop farmers offer in deals on feed the past few years. I'm not saying that is true in your situation, but things change. Go talk to them first. They may have saved manure just for you to make the relationship work long term. Don't ask me.......I have no idea!
