You can 'improve' the clutch situation a bunch by throwing away those 7000 clutches and stupid staples and weld in as required a 7200 clutch. That clutch works first time, every time. Still have to watch wheel drives and back up dogs tho. Top drive would definitely be 'better' BUT money wise a used 7200 clutch out of a bone yard or similiar would be more cost effective!!(And eliminate 95% of deere problems). I think they should promote a kit to do this with!!!
