SC NE to NC KS | Been playing with my ration numbers and had a question I haven't been able to find an answer to. On a commercial cow calf ration, early lactation, can a guy use alfalfa haylage and ground corn stalks as a sole ration? Say 1/3 alfalfa haylage and 2/3 ground corn stover? With 20% protein alf, would that cover it or is there something about digestible protein that I'm not aware of? Anyone have any experience they'd care to share? Thanks in advance. | |
